Will the EQUAL Control Lever become an indexed lever if I install the Click Plate?

No. The Click Plate adds a "click feel" to the control lever to make the operation of the shifting levers (A/B) easier to feel.
It only provides tactile feedback; the control method of the rear derailleur remains friction-based.
