Our goal was to achieve freedom.
There are parts I like the look of and definitely want to use.
I want to continue using the parts I’m currently using.
However, I had to give it up.
“Because the manufacturers are different.”
“Because the number of gears is different.”
“Because they are incompatible.”
Have you ever experienced these issues?

Let’s do everything we wanted to do.
“I want to try using a large sprocket for MTB.”
“Let’s combine a 9-speed derailleur with an 11-speed sprocket.”
“I want to use again my nostalgic parts that have become unusable over time.”
There are as many ways to enjoy cycling as there are people. The EQUAL Control Lever offers you new ways to enjoy your ride.
Features

A new sensation: stepless shifting.
We adopted a friction system with no clicking sensation in gear shifting,
which we named “stepless shifting.”
The unique operation feels like moving a marionette.
Please enjoy this distinctive feel that no other lever offers.

Endless possibilities with unconventional combinations.
Thanks to stepless shifting, you can freely choose your drivetrain components.
No matter the brand or the number of sprockets,
the EQUAL Control Lever lets you build your ideal bike without compromise.

Enjoy a familiar clicking feel with the optional Click Plate.
By adding this accessory, you can give your shifts the tactile click of traditional levers—
making operation easier and more intuitive.

Performance That Makes It a Top Choice
Built with high-rigidity carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, this lever is tough enough for the most demanding races.
Its high pivot position delivers strong braking power with minimal effort.
With three levels of reach adjustment, it fits riders with smaller hands comfortably.
It’s not just a fun component—it’s a lever you’ll truly want to use.

Grip That Feels Just Right
No matter how functional a lever is, poor ergonomics can ruin the experience.
We paid close attention to tactile elements that can’t be measured—like how naturally the bracket fits in your hand or how your fingers rest on the lever.
From the very first touch, it feels right in your hand. That’s the comfort we designed for.

Control Lever Standard FAQ
Peel back the bracket cover from the top and tighten the screw next to the one securing the cable clip (the red screw in the image) by 45 to 90 degrees clockwise.
Then check if the lever operates normally.
※Do not turn the screw more than 90 degrees.
For both the left and right levers, please tighten the screw clockwise.
If the issue does not improve even after tightening 90 degrees, return the screw to its original position and contact the store where you purchased the product.

No, it is not possible to eliminate the play.
Lever A/B uses a clutch mechanism for operation, and a certain amount of play is necessary to allow for its switching function.
This occurs because the friction nut is not tightened enough, and the friction force on the lever side is insufficient to counteract the tension pulling the derailleur cable back.
Please refer to section 6-5 “Friction Nut Adjustment” in the user manual and tighten the friction nut accordingly.
For additional precautions, please refer to the user manual.
When installing the shift cable, make sure to press Lever B all the way down, so that the cable is in its most relaxed position. Then, tension the cable from that state.
